Age Verification For Downloads Coming To The UK |

According to the BBC, websites will have to implement age verification for downloadable videos or video games. Online video services and video on demand services will be required to have age verification or "gate-keeping systems" which enable parents to monitor and control underage usage.
The implementation will be overseen by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) which claims that 74% of parents have been worried about the lack of ratings on downloads. This scheme, called BBFC.online, has been in the making for some time now, and it will finally see implementation this month.
