"Time Warner's (nyse: TWX - news - people ) New Line Cinema, for instance, uses an age-verification system before displaying the R-rated first six minutes of its hyperviolent Running Scared movie. The age verifier is run by a division of Aristotle International, the largest seller of such systems. New Line doesn’t specifically ask for consent to use the information, which it can retain, but on a separate privacy page discloses that it may pass along the data to companies “that want to market products or services to you.” The company declines to comment on the age-verification system."
