Class 2 Gaming Supplier License Granted Pioneer in
Geo-location and Patron Identification Services
Aristocrat Taps Aristotle for Player Identification
Washington, DC (June 7, 2013) — Aristotle International has been granted a license to provide geo-location and patron-identification services by the Nevada Gaming Commission, a key milestone in the expansion of the company’s identity services initiatives. The company’s Integrity™ division, founded a decade ago, is today the leading provider of global online age- and identity-verification to government agencies, commercial websites and social networks.
As approved by the Commission, Integrity™ will provide player identification and geo-location verification to licensed internet gaming operators to keep youngsters off of online poker and casino sites and to ensure gaming is provided only to those within the borders of the State of Nevada.
“For more than a decade, Integrity has pioneered the development of widely accepted compliance and age-verification technology for the commercial and government sectors,” said CEO John Aristotle Phillips, a co-founder of the company. “Integrity is the most comprehensive and cost-effective tool for online age- and identity-verification. We’ve tailored it to be available across multiple platforms to enable a safe venue for adults while mitigating risk and insuring compliance for operators.”
Aristotle’s player identification includes the robust age verification that meets or exceeds Nevada’s stringent requirements and anticipated federal requirements’ prohibiting underage gambling outlined in the legislation introduced this week by Congressman Peter King (NY), the “Internet Gambling Regulation, Enforcement, and Consumer Protection Act of 2013”.
“Aristotle has performed over 50 million verifications since the inception of our Integrity™ group. It’s a safe bet that our experience and robust infrastructure will enable licensed Nevada gaming companies to meet the building demand for instantaneous player onboarding that is anticipated.”
Aristotle’s player identification verification solutions combine a range of real-time and near real-time verification approaches for internet operators. Integrity’s global coverage facilitates the verification of individuals from over 135 countries in three seconds or less, based upon a comparison of player information with the company’s deep databases of government and public ID data.
Aristotle also announced that it has been selected by Aristocrat Technologies to one of the providers for player identification services to the gaming technology leader.
Atul Bali, President of Aristocrat Technologies Inc., issued a statement after the Nevada Gaming Commission vote saying, “Maintaining age integrity on our nLive™ virtual casino sites is a top priority to Aristocrat, our partners and to regulators. We carefully evaluated player identification providers with the goal of keeping underage individuals off of our partners’ gaming sites, and we found Aristotle was the best choice to achieve our goals in this area. We are pleased that the Nevada Gaming Board and Nevada Gambling Commission unanimously approved Aristotle’s Gaming Supplier License.”
Commission members noted that Aristotle Integrity verification solution also includes an innovative video verification using Skype, which had beenpreviously evaluated and approved by the Federal Trade Commission for compliance purposes under COPPA, The Child Online Privacy Protection Act. COPPA requires verification of parental consent when collecting information from a child under the age of 13. Prior to the Gaming Commission’s action this week, Aristotle was verifying the identity of tens of thousands of consumers monthly for social networks, beverage alcohol, entertainment and financial services companies.
Aristotle was represented before the Commission by respected internet gaming expert, Anthony Cabot of the law firm of Lewis & Roca: “One of the most satisfying aspects of my profession is having the opportunity to represent innovative companies like Aristotle. The world is changing, gaming is going online and companies like Aristotle are making it possible.”
For more than 25 years, every occupant of the White House — Democrat and Republican — has used Aristotle products and services, in addition to many U.S. Senators, members of the U.S. House of Representatives, and Democratic and Republican state party organizations. Aristotle International is the provider of Integrity’s global identity verification and geolocation services.
